Connection Path: How it works

What is Connection Path?

Connection Path shows how you connect to any player or staff member on Elite Prospects. It traces the people between you, based on the teams and seasons you have shared.

Connection Path is available to verified players and staff.

How it works

Connection Path is built from the team and season history on Elite Prospects profiles. If two people were on the same team in the same season, that counts as a link.

Strongest connection first. Paths are ranked by how recent the shared season was and how long you were on the same team.
Distance. Each path shows how many people sit between you, for example "1 person away" or "2 people away".
Season detail. Each link shows where and when you overlapped, for example "played together at Rögle BK in 22/23".
Message from the path. You can message verified profiles along the path from the same window.

Unverified profiles still appear in other people's paths. They just can't see their own.

Who can use it

You need a verified player or staff profile to use Connection Path. What you see depends on your plan.

Connection Path turns on as soon as your verification is approved.

How to use Connection Path

Sign in with your verified player or staff account.
Open any player or staff profile.
In the profile header, find the line that shows who connects you, for example "John Smith and 2 others connect you".
Click it to open the "See how you're connected" window.
Read your strongest path from top to bottom: you, each person in between, then the profile you opened.
Click Message next to anyone on the path to reach out.

Ways to use it

Players: looking at a new team or a camp? See who you already know there before you reach out.
Staff: checking on a player? See who you both know before a reference call.

FAQ

Why can't I see Connection Path? Your profile isn't verified yet, or you have a fan account. Verify your player or staff profile at eliteprospects.com/verified. It turns on once your verification is approved.

I'm not verified. Do I still show up in other people's paths? Yes. Your team and season history still links you to others. Verify your profile to see your own paths.

Can I message people in a path? Yes, verified profiles. Click Message next to anyone on the path.
